16th November 1812 Commissioned as an Ensign 21st Regiment 1st August 1816 Lieutenant 45th Regiment 4th March 1824 Captain 86th Foot 1830 Resigned from Army.

Robert married on 31st March 1826 at St Mary's Newry, Co Down, Maria Carlile daughter of the late Hugh Carlile of Newry. No known issue

His widow remarried 1852 by Dublin Diocesan Licence, Edward COURTENAY.
