Maria, the eldest of William and Mabels' children, made a good marriage into the CODDINGTON family. At the age of 19 she married Henry Barry CODDINGTON, second son and heir to his father Nicholas Coddington, on 26 September 1827 at Bangor and bore him six sons and three daughters, although the birth of her last baby, a boy, Dixie Latham was to be the death of her.

She was buried at Dunleer, Co Louth on 27 March 1845.
