CRAWFORD Alice
Probably born circa 1730

Alice daughter of Anne CRAWFORD and James ARBUCKLE, married firstly Thomas Whyte and secondly, in 1755, Robert GORDON.

They had four children John, David, Robert and Alexander.

David, born 1 Jun 1759 married on 11 Sept 1789, Mary youngest daughter of James Crawford

Alice's mother, Anne was said to be daughter of John Crawford and niece and heir of David Crawford of Florida Manor. Since we already have Anne McCullagh née Crawford, daughter to John in this tree in the appropriate time frame, these three, with Anne's daughter Alice, were probably part of another Crawford line.

It is interesting to note the involvement of the Gordon family with the Crawfords and Sharman-Crawfords. There are several instances of intermarriage, see notes on intermarriage
