Originally residing in the South Mall Cork, Arthur Frederick lived close, at this time to the Beamish & Crawford Brewery, South Main Street, started, with others, by his maternal Grandfather, William of Cork. Arthur Frederick was involved with the Brewery and his photo appears on their official history site (click above).

Arthur Frederick, who inherited Lota Lodge from his brother William Henry in 1889, married at Blackrock Co Dublin on 6 November 1890, Ida Florence Perry, daughter of William Perry of Ardlui, Blackrock by his wife Eliza Pim, daughter of James Pim.

She bore him two children, Gerald Arthur (who was born at Lota in 1891) and Aileen.
