Second child of Arthur Frederick SHARMAN-CRAWFORD and Ida Florence (nee PERRY), Aileen was born in London and christened at St Saviours, Walton Street on 30th January 1897. She is mntioned in Robert Gordon Sharman Crawford's 1834 will as 'Eily'
