Helen's father Col Robert Gordon SHARMAN-CRAWFORD died in 1934. As his only son Terence had been killed in a motorcycle accident and died without issue in 1913, Helen's son Robert Hugh CARVER inherited under his grandfather's will, provided he change his name to SHARMAN-CRAWFORD.
